    Scratchbuilt Fencing
I am starting to run low on the Model Power White Picket Fencing that I have been using and I found some scale lumber laying around; I decided that Thunder Road's que line and exit would use scratchbuilt fencing to save costs and possibly fit the backwoods theme of the ride's name.
I started by mixing black and white craft paint to get a shade of gray, once dry I cut the vertical posts to length and started gluing them in place using Elmer's School Glue.

  • 4 - Paint the areas that will be grass, while paint is wet apply model grass supplies.
  • 5 - Apply Woodland Scenics Scenic Cement or similar glue to grassed area.
  • 6 - Once the glue is dry, remove the tape, some paint touch-ups may be required.

  • 7 - Erect fencing as desired using Elmer's School Glue, I used T-pins to hold the fencing in place.
